About The Role

Role: Mentor to Financial Investigators REF 82644

Contract Length: 12 months (initial)

Location: London / Sheffield / Cardiff / Manchester / Hounslow

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate

Spinwell is recruiting for a Mentor to Financial Investigators for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

Responsibilities of the Mentor to Financial Investigators

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct investigations collaboratively with Assistant Director Investigators, Principal Investigation Officers, and Senior Investigation Officers.
• Assist with applications to the High Court for search warrants and conduct on-site investigations using formal powers.
• Ensure compliance with statutory duties and procedural requirements, analyze and assess evidence, and present findings to team leaders, including drafting appropriate documentation.

Skills/Experience of the Mentor to Financial Investigators

• POCC Accreditation as FI and Cinfiscator (no more than 3 years since lapse)
• Experience with Civil Recovery in Summary Proceedings (CRiSP) and related Court hearings.
• Experience conducting financial investigations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, including money laundering, restraint, confiscation, cash, listed assets, and account freezing orders.
• Experience drafting summaries/statements for criminal and civil proceedings and giving evidence in Court.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data, present evidential formats for Court, and complete and serve Financial Orders.
• Practical application of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 in criminal investigations.
