Mental Wellbeing Services Coordinator - Maternity Cover

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with a passion for improving mental health and wellbeing, experience of service coordination, strong administrative skills, and a can-do positive approach, to coordinate Derbyshire Minds Mental Wellbeing Services.

Derbyshire Minds Mental Wellbeing Services are our activities, groups and programmes. Our services can look like many things and come in many forms, but our goal is always to provide activities that build connection, reduce isolation, boost mood, and improve mental health and wellbeing.

Currently these services include:

  • MindSpace Walk-and-Talk groups based at parks around the county
  • Rookie Runners beginners running groups following the couch to 5k programme
  • Mindful Crafts and other art groups
  • Movement and Mindfulness yoga, south bath, and mindfulness classes
  • Grief and Self-hypnosis Programme
Main duties of the job

Yourrole will involve responsibilities such as: coordinating service delivery,liaising with our external partner organisations, coordinating our Peer SupportVolunteers, monitoring the service activity, collecting and analysing feedback,responding to queries and questions, considering ways to improve servicedesign, updating the DM website and service listings, working with the ServicesLead and service users to design and create new services, and much. It is abusy and enjoyable role within a supportive team, and no two days tend to bealike!

Job responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide maternity leave cover in the role of Mental Wellbeing Services Coordinator to continue to proactively coordinate the delivery of Derbyshire Minds portfolio of Mental Wellbeing Services, under the support and guidance of the Services Lead.
  • To work with the Services Lead and other members of Derbyshire Mind staff to improve services, and also help to design, create, and deliver new services, activities and groups within the annual service budget.
  • To act as lead contact for the Peer Support Volunteers, including recruitment, rota coordination, ensuring sufficient cover for sessions, managing short notice changes e.g. due to sickness, support with volunteer queries, updating volunteer signposting information, monitoring training, sharing updated policies and procedures, receiving and processing expenses claims, and determining suitable dates for team meetings as and when required.
  • To routinely collect, monitor and report on service activity levels and service user feedback.
  • To manage the Community Services mailbox and respond to queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • To create, update, and maintain service user and professionals mailing lists for the Mental Wellbeing Services.
  • To create, update, and maintain Derbyshire Minds Mental Wellbeing Services Eventbrite listings, including creating new events, monitoring ticket sales, downloading participant information, and updating relevant mailing lists.
  • To update the Derbyshire Mind Mental Wellbeing Services listings on our website to reflect new and upcoming services, activities, and events.
  • To provide timely information to Derbyshire Minds Head of Partnerships and Services in order for them to list the details about our upcoming services and activities on the DM social media channels.
  • To email information to interested parties/participants about forthcoming Mental Wellbeing services in a timely fashion and respond to any subsequent queries.
  • To liaise with third-party providers to ensure all necessary information for each of our sessions is received in a timely fashion including participant numbers, lists, etc.
  • To collate and input feedback from participants of each Mental Wellbeing Service, maintaining this information in a suitable format.
  • To support the creation of marketing materials, including sourcing supplier quotes for printing, managing this process, sharing marketing materials with third parties, and maintaining accurate records of any budgetary spend.
  • To work collaboratively with Derbyshire Mind staff colleagues.
  • To build connections with other Derbyshire organisations and stakeholders such as Social Prescribers, Move More Coordinators, and other VCSE organisations with similar strategies to improve the mental health and wellbeing of Derbyshire.
  • To ensure all activities meet organisational values and standards and are compliant with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., safeguarding, GDPR).
