Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner (Male Applicants Only) - Intensive Housing Support

Full Time – Permanent

Our Intensive Housing Support service, in collaboration with the Integrated Drugs Team, provides recovery-focused support for individuals experiencing co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges. Using a strengths-based approach, we address barriers to recovery, promote self-management, resilience, and connect individuals to community resources to support ongoing wellbeing.

The service supports individuals and families in Aberdeen City affected by substance use. Our goals include reducing substance use and harm, and supporting informed decisions about medication prescriptions in line with MAT standards. We provide advice on accessing support and its benefits.

We also offer trauma-informed, personalized support plans, addressing legal matters, debt management, and budgeting. We utilize tools like I.ROC and the HOPE toolkit to foster healthy social networks, relationship skills, and decision-making. Our aim is to enhance engagement with recovery, ensure high-quality treatment, reduce risks, promote safety, and help individuals achieve personal wellbeing goals.
