Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join the Oaktrees Ward on Wirral. The role is part-time and focuses on high‑quality care for adults with mental health conditions within a multidisciplinary team.

You will assist with personal care, support recovery and contribute to personalised treatment plans. The ward runs 7 days a week with 12‑hour shifts, including day, night and weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people with mental health diagnoses.
• Compassion and optimism for rehabilitation and recovery.
• Willingness to work a full range of 12 hour shifts including day, night and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in standardised procedures relating to individualised patient care.
• Carrying out duties as identified by senior staff that related to the needs, changes and demands of the ward and patient care inclusive of the provision of personal care when required.
• To support in the therapeutic relationship with service users through engagement and activities as deemed appropriate to the client group.
• Participate in patient observation and reporting and changes to senior staff as necessary.
