Mental Health Transport Assistant (Marlborough)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: To provide a professional and caring service for all patients whilst in the care of Secure Care UK, ensuring that at all times patient safety remains paramount and that safe systems of work are adhered to. To support and transport vulnerable service users as part of a team. To support the care of patients during assessment at 136 Suits in line with the Mental Health Act.

Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed according to current policies and procedures and in line with HSE requirements. Be able to attend the office within one hour during on-call shifts. Use the company vehicle and equipment safely and respectfully, maintaining high standards of driving and cleanliness.

Apply appropriate Lifting and Handling techniques as per training when moving patients under non-emergency conditions, using suitable equipment or supports where necessary. In case of an incident, you may need to administer first aid as trained, and/or provide social care in non-emergency situations.

Ensure the uniform is worn according to the organisation's workwear policy and wear your ID badge at all times while on duty. Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational policies, and procedures, including GDPR 2018, and report accidents or incidents accurately to control and hospital personnel following Secure Care UK Guidelines and the Company Incident Policy.

Participate in staff development programmes, regular reviews, and annual performance reviews, and undertake further training if required. Work according to the organisation's values, maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism towards clients and colleagues, and act in compliance with legislation, policy, and procedures regarding Equality and Diversity.

Continuously develop and update your knowledge and skills, contribute to setting work objectives, and stay current with company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for SCUK and adhere to the Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility as a team member, collaborating respectfully and communicating positively.

Accurately implement electronic data capture systems. Take accountability for your professional development and reflective practice. Achieve business KPIs, goals, and objectives. Maintain vehicle standards at the highest level. Support and deliver company initiatives and collaborate with all departments for effective implementation and maintenance of procedures.

Ensure all work activities comply with legislation. Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
