A prominent healthcare provider in Uxbridge is seeking a charismatic leader to oversee the RMN team and ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care. The successful candidate will mentor staff, drive patient advocacy, and work closely with local health partners. This is an exciting time to join The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as we seek to strengthen the provision of care to patients with a mental health diagnosis. As a visible and charismatic leader, you will galvanise the RMN team to deliver high-quality, timely care to patients.
The post will involve the day to day oversight of RMNs working throughout the organisation ensuring that they are supported to deliver high-quality care to patients. You will be able to provide expert advice and guidance regarding the care of patients with a primary and secondary mental health diagnosis whilst receiving care in the acute setting.
You will work with partners across the local health economy to ensure that patients are receiving timely care and that delays to care are appropriately escalated. You will advocate for patients and staff.
The post holder will also lead on recruitment, retention and development of the RMN team, whether they are substantive or temporary staff. The post holder will also ensure that RMNs working in the organisation receive appropriate clinical supervision.
This role will contribute to the development of policy and strategy. In role you will be supported by a Lead Nurse and Senior Lead Nurse for Mental Health.
