Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Reigate - Education and Training - SEMH - Graduate - Psychology - Criminology

Are you looking for a role where you can support the mental health of young people?

A well-respected specialist school near Reigate is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students range between 10 and 16 years old and face a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, and challenges including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues. The students therefore need a Mental Health Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to being a consistent role model, committed to building strong relationships, empathetic, and up for a challenge!

The ideal Mental Health Teaching Assistant must be open-minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. The perfect candidate will have experience with SEN children and/or adults in any setting. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling would also be perfect for this position.

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £80-£100 per day, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4pm, PAYE, term time only

Training: Excellent on-site education and training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students

Requirements:

  1. You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
  2. Must be able to travel to Reigate and surrounding areas
