Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Reigate - Education and Training - SEMH - Graduate - Psychology - Criminology

Are you looking for a role where you can support the mental health of young people?

A well-respected specialist school near Reigate is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students range between 10 and 16 years old, and face a range of social, emotional and mental health needs, and challenges including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues. The students therefore need a Mental Health Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to being a consistent role model, is committed to building strong relationships, is empathetic and up for a challenge!

The ideal Mental Health Teaching Assistant must be open-minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. The perfect candidate will have experience with SEN children and/or adults in any setting. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or Counselling would also be perfect for this position.

Details:

  1. Start date: ASAP
  2. Salary: £80-£100 per day, Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4pm, PAYE, term time only
  3. Excellent on-site education and training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
  4. You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
  5. Must be able to travel to Reigate and surrounding areas
