Job Description:

This role is ideal for Psychology or Criminology graduates with an interest in mental health, SEN, social justice, or criminal justice. You will support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in an alternative provision setting supporting children aged 11-19 with diverse needs.

Responsibilities include working in small classes of 3-6 pupils, promoting social and personal skills, and supporting the school's restorative and therapeutic approach to education and behaviour management.

Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree (preferable) or previous SEN experience
  • Interest or understanding of how mental health and autism affect students, including gender differences
  • Good education in English and Maths (5 GCSEs grade C/4 or above)
  • Interest in extracurricular activities like sport, cooking, coding, dance, hairdressing, photography
  • Knowledge of different learning and behavioural needs, especially SEMH
