Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduate - Education and Training - Aylesbury

It caters to over 50 students aged 11-19, providing a restorative, therapeutic approach to education and behaviour management, focusing on personal and key skills for life both in and out of school.

Responsibilities

  • Working in classes of 3-6 pupils with a staff-to-student ratio of 1:1

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, especially for Criminology and Psychology graduates
  • Interest in how mental health and Autism affect different genders, with attention to often overlooked aspects
  • Good educational background in English and Maths (5 GCSEs grade C/4 or above)
  • Active outside interests that develop personal and social skills, such as Sport, Cooking, Coding, Dance, Hairdressing, Photography
  • Understanding or keen interest in various learning and behavioural needs, including SEMH
