A great opportunity has recently become available for a Mental Health Support Worker in a lovely school in Oxford. If you are interested in working with children who have struggles with their mental health then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

The Opportunity As a Mental Health Support Worker

This lovely inclusive school are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to come in with a positive attitude and uplift their students. This position is to start as soon as possible.

Ideally the Mental Health Support Worker will be a graduate with a degree in psychology, criminology or sociology. Those with a background in sport, art or music are also encouraged to apply! a degree however is not essential and those with passion and a great work ethic are most welcome to apply!

The Role As a Youth Mental Health Worker

Your role as a Youth Mental Health Worker will be to provide support to students who are having a difficult time with processing and regulating their emotions. You will support them during the school day and encourage them to process their emotions in a healthy and positive way. You will mostly support these students in either small group settings or 1 to 1. While doing this, you will also support the class teacher with general class duties, such as ensuring the classroom is a safe and engaging environment, managing general classroom behaviour and providing general supervision.

The Successful Mental Health Support Worker

The successful Mental Health Support Worker will be passionate about mental health and an advocate for children who struggle with their emotions. You will be passionate, resilient and compassionate.
