The School and Role
This role is for a Mental Health Youth Support Worker to support vulnerable children and young people aged between 4-16 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. All pupils have been assessed and are supported with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).
This ‘Good’ SEND SEMH school, based in Newcastle upon Tyne and is looking to appoint a passionate Mental Health Youth Support Worker to work in either Key Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary and Secondary SEND SEMH school as part of an established team, the desired Mental Health Youth Support Worker will be working on a small class sized basis. This full time Mental Health Youth Support Worker role is long term from September ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.
The school timings are 8:30-4:30pm.
