Mental Health Support Assistant - Graduate Position

An inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a Mental Health Support Assistant to join their dedicated pastoral and learning support team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about student wellbeing and is looking to gain hands-on experience in a mental health-focused education setting.

As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who are experiencing social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) challenges, helping them to thrive both personally and academically. You will play a vital part in creating a safe, encouraging environment that allows every young person to feel understood, supported and ready to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group emotional wellbeing sessions
  • Support students with SEMH and SEND needs both in and out of class
  • Monitor progress and wellbeing, contributing to personalised support plans
  • Liaise with teachers and the pastoral team to ensure joined-up support strategies

  • Full-time - Full academic year
  • 105 - 110 per day - Term time only
  • Based in a high-achieving Secondary School
  • Working across KS3, KS4 & KS5
