Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in young lives? Are you a graduate with experience working with teenagers or children with mental health needs?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic teaching assistant or graduate with experience supporting students with additional needs, for a secondary school in Nantwich!

This is a full-time role, 5 days a week, paying up to £100 a day. Temporary with the potential for permanent.

The Role:

  • Support students within the classroom, providing tailored guidance and encouragement.
  • Supporting small groups and working one-to-one with students with additional needs including SEMH, ASD, behavioural needs, and ADHD.
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver small group instruction.
  • Promote a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Help students build confidence and a passion for learning.

Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure the support they deliver is of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches.

Requirements:

  • Previous children-based work experience - Experience in roles such as a Sports or Activities Coach is often highly transferable experience for supporting behavioural issues
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or happy to apply for a new one)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles
  • Commitment to supporting student development and well-being
  • Understanding of the UK Schools curriculum
