An outstanding specialist school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs based in Iffley, Oxford, is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Graduate to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with behavioural and mental health challenges. Graduates qualified in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology are preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered. The role is full-time, starting ASAP, with great transport links. The children are aged 4 to 11 and have significant developmental trauma, emotional needs, and behavioural challenges. Your role will focus on supporting their well-being and personal development.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside therapists and psychologists on-site, with mentorship and shadowing opportunities. You will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues, ideal for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapeutic support workers, or SEN teachers.
