Job summary

Priory Group in Gosport, Hampshire, is recruiting a Staff Nurse (Adult or Mental Health) for Priory Hospital Nelson House. This permanent full-time role (37.5 hours) focuses on delivering person-centred care, supporting assessment and tailored treatment plans while upholding dignity and high standards of practice.

You will join a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery, respond to changing needs, and work within NMC guidelines. On-site parking and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified RMN or RGN with active NMC registration.
• 6–12 months post-registration experience in mental health or learning disabilities.
• RMN: experience in a mental health setting is required.
• Knowledge of NMC guidelines and professional standards.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while maintaining dignity and high standards of care.
• Work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team to promote clients' best interests and carers’ involvement.
• Ensure prescribed nursing care is delivered safely, effectively and responsively.
• Maintain a safe, supportive care environment with professional accountability and adaptation to changing needs.
• Apply nursing knowledge within the scope of professional practice and maintain high standards at all times.
