Experienced Mental Health Social Worker, Adult Social Care, Permanent, Full Time (37 hours).
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker with a passion for working in mental health, with post-qualification experience or those who have successfully completed the ASYE Programme, to join Northumberland County Council's Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate.
The current opportunity is based in our newly established Intensive Social Work Mental Health Team, working alongside our AMHP and inpatient teams. The team supports individuals with serious mental illness, providing a countywide approach with intensive and assertive outreach support tailored to this client group and their families. Our model promotes joined-up continuity of care and shared responsibility with key stakeholders to manage risk and prevent further deterioration in mental health, addressing wider social determinants.

We seek Social Workers dedicated to delivering excellent service to vulnerable individuals within our communities.
You will provide comprehensive assessments, benefiting from a good balance of autonomy and support. You will manage your caseload daily but will receive regular supervision and full support from your Team Manager.
It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the Mental Health Act, S117, Care Act, and the statutory duties of local authorities.
