Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Research Assistant to join the Mental Health Research Group based at Lancaster University. The role supports NIHR funded work on co-designing inclusive mental health pathways.

You will gain experience in qualitative methods, interviews with people with lived experience of mental health and substance use, and contribute to improving access to care.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related subject (e.g. public health or social sciences).
• Understanding of qualitative research principles and methods.
• Experience conducting qualitative research (e.g., interviews, analysing qualitative data).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mental Health Research Group in NIHR funded research.
• Conduct interviews and contribute to qualitative data analysis.
• Support co-design of inclusive mental health pathways and report findings.
