Qualifications

  • NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse or equivalent HCPC registration is mandatory.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation surrounding Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Undertake assessments and formulate care plans in consultation with patients.
  • Supervise Support Workers and/or students.

Main duties of the job

Whether you're newly qualified or experienced, our Talent Pool on Webrecruit keeps you informed about opportunities that match your skills and interests.

As a mental health practitioner in one of our teams, you can expect to:

  • Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team managing a caseload of patients
  • Undertake assessments of patients, involving their carers and family members in the patient's care and care plans
  • Be responsible for the formulation, execution, and evaluation of care plans for a designated number of patients who may present with significant complexity, in consultation with the patient and the multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervise Support Workers and/or students
  • Provide advice to other members of the service and agencies on the needs of service users

Job responsibilities

The must-haves for this role:

  • NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse (or equivalent HCPC registration)
