Come and join our Initial Response Service team. This is an exciting time to be part of the crisis pathway, supporting people with mental health issues to access the most appropriate support at the right time.

There has never been a more exciting time to join our Trust. You will be part of delivering a significant transformation in how services are accessed and delivered. We are seeking experienced Band 6 Nurses, Social Workers, or Occupational Therapists to expand our team.

The New Service Offers
  • A single referral point for GPs and other professionals
  • 24-hour telephone advice and support for service users and carers to self-refer
  • More responsive crisis services with improved experiences for service users, carers, and professionals

Our goal is to ensure people with mental health issues receive support at the right time, leading to positive outcomes.

The service operates 24/7. As a Triage Practitioner, you will work in shifts at our teams based in Accrington at The Mount, performing referral screening, triaging, signposting, and supporting call handlers and administrators who provide information and support over the phone.

Shift times and days are negotiable and can be discussed at interview.

We seek dedicated individuals who promote recovery and can inspire those experiencing mental health challenges and their families that recovery is possible for everyone.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust offers a range of services, including secondary mental health care, inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services. The Trust also provides physical health and well-being services in the community in partnership with local organizations.
