An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time band 5 registered practitioner within our First Response Service team based in Chester for our Home Treatment Team. The successful applicant will also be expected to work across Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Services, including Crisis Resolution Home Treatment teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services, and the Crisis Triage and Response Service.

Main duties of the job

This is a developmental post designed to give the practitioner experience, knowledge, and confidence to complete their preceptorship and develop into a Band 6 role.

The role involves supporting band 6/7 staff in completing initial assessments and reviewing patients independently. The post holder will also accompany band 6/7 staff during patient assessments.

They will gain experience liaising with acute hospitals, community-based services, and acute mental health hospitals.

The post provides experience working with the Local Authority, Police, and North West Ambulance Service.

The post holder will be expected to work as part of the Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Service, which includes Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services, and the Crisis Line.
