Location: Walsall Council

The Role:

We are looking to recruit therapists to work within our Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.

You will be responsible for delivering psychological and systemic interventions with parents and carers in Walsall, both on a 1-2-1 basis and within groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with adults with significant and complex needs, focusing on engaging with parents regarding their mental health and well-being, and coordinating with the wider social care system involved with the family.
  • Provide clinical services including assessment, formulation, and time-limited evidence-based interventions within the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.
  • Identify suitable mental health/psychological interventions for individuals and develop tailored interventions for parents based on their mental health needs, utilizing professional knowledge and therapeutic models such as trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional therapy, and systemic family therapy.

We seek candidates with relevant experience and qualifications in delivering therapeutic interventions across various specialties, including but not limited to trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional family therapy, and systemic family therapy.

Driving is essential for this role.
