Job description

Length of assignment: 3 Months

Hourly rate: £37

Remote/Office based: Hybrid — all therapeutic appointments will be be face-to-face

Location: Walsall Council

The Role:

We are seeking therapists to join our Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.

Your responsibilities will include delivering psychological and systemic interventions with parents and carers in Walsall, both on a 1-2-1 basis and in groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work with adults with complex needs, focusing on engaging parents regarding their mental health and well-being, and collaborating with the wider social care system involved with the family.
  2. Provide clinical services including assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions within the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.
  3. Determine the most suitable mental health/psychological interventions for individuals and develop tailored interventions for parents based on their mental health needs, utilizing models such as trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional family therapy, and systemic family therapy.

We are looking for candidates with relevant experience and qualifications in delivering therapeutic interventions across various specialisms, including but not limited to trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional family therapy, and systemic family therapy.

Driving is essential for this role.
