Mental Health Practitioner – Early Intervention Service (MHST) | Derbyshire
Location: Derbyshire | Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time | Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm | Agency: Service Care Solutions | Rate: £30ltd (£23.79 PAYE)

Service Care Solutions is recruiting a Mental Health Practitioner to join a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) working within an Early Intervention Service. This role is based in education settings, supporting children and young people (CYP) with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues in education settings.
  • Assess and deliver risk assessments and follow clear risk management procedures.
  • Assess and deliver psychoeducational tools and interventions with CYP, families, and education staff.
  • Work in partnership with CYP, families, and education staff to embed a Whole School Approach (WSA) to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Support the Senior Mental Health Lead in developing and implementing the WSA.
  • Provide timely advice to education staff and liaise with specialist services to ensure CYP receive appropriate support and remain in education.
  • Accept referrals in line with local and national protocols and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Manage a caseload and demonstrate effective clinical practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Relevant qualification and experience in mental health (e.g., RMN, Social Worker, Therapist).
