Job description

Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner

Length of assignment: 3 Months

Hours per week: 37

Hourly rate: £37

Remote/Office based: Hybrid—all therapeutic appointments will be face to face

Location: Walsall Council

The Role:

We are looking to recruit therapists to work within our Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.

You will be responsible for delivering psychological and systemic interventions with parents and carers within Walsall, both on a 1-2-1 basis and within groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with adults with significant and complex needs, focusing on engaging with parents regarding their mental health and well-being, while collaborating with the wider social care system involved with the family.
  • Provide clinical services including assessment, formulation, and time-limited evidence-based interventions within the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.
  • Identify the most appropriate mental health/psychological interventions for individuals and develop bespoke interventions for parents based on their mental health needs, utilizing therapeutic models such as trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional therapy, and systemic family therapy.

We are seeking candidates with relevant experience and qualifications in delivering therapeutic interventions across various specialisms, including but not limited to trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional family therapy, and systemic family therapy.

Driving is essential for this role.
