Job description

The role

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, your focus will be on providing comprehensive care and support to patients dealing with mental health challenges. You'll assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with various mental health conditions, such as depression, schizophrenia, or anxiety disorders. You'll administer psychiatric medications, offer therapeutic interventions, and conduct individual or group therapy sessions to help patients manage their symptoms and improve their mental well-being. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in crisis intervention, ensuring the safety of patients who may be at risk of self-harm or harm to others. Collaborating with our client's multidisciplinary team, you'll advocate for patients' rights and provide education to patients and their families.

You need high levels of clinical expertise, patience, resilience, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations, using your knowledge and specialist skills to perform de-escalation techniques when necessary.
