Job Title: Mental Health Nurse – Mental Health Urgent Care Centre (Band 6, Welwyn Garden City)

This job involves developing and providing highly specialist, evidence-based interventions for service users, utilizing a wide range of theoretical frameworks and treatment modalities. The role includes delivering accessible services through clinic-based and outreach models, providing expert advice and consultation to colleagues and external agencies, and managing a small caseload of service users with comprehensive assessments and care plans.

The position also entails developing nursing practices within the service, supervising nursing colleagues and multidisciplinary team members, participating in supervision, appraisal, and professional development (including nurse prescribing), and collaborating with other health professionals to enhance service capacity and early intervention strategies. Additionally, the nurse will work with primary, secondary, and tertiary care teams to improve community-based services and lead service innovation and development projects.
