Job description

Rubislaw Park is an award-winning, luxury care home situated in Aberdeen’s West End. We provide high-quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 86 residents.

We are now looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our outstanding care team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a home where care goes beyond the clinical — we create a warm, welcoming environment where every resident can thrive.

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering exceptional care, supporting our residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing, and leading by example within the team. You will be more than a Nurse — you will be a mentor, advocate, and key part of our community.

What We Offer

  • £20.80 per hour
  • Contracted up to 44 hours per week
  • Free onsite parking
  • Paid PVG, Uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do
You will lead on creating and reviewing individualised care plans, working closely with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure needs are met in a safe, respectful, and person-centred way. You will organise and guide your team at the start of each shift, provide clinical oversight throughout the day, and ensure handovers are effective and well-communicated. You will administer medication safely, maintain accurate documentation, and monitor residents’ health and wellbeing through regular observations. You will champion resident independence, respond swiftly to emergencies, support nutritional needs, and encourage social engagement and community involvement. You will also be a key contact for families, handling concerns with empathy and professionalism.

About You

  • You are a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC pin
  • You are passionate about delivering high-quality care and improving the lives of others
  • You bring warmth, empathy, and calm professionalism to your role
  • You communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Experience in a care home is welcomed, though not essential
