As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will ensure women over the age of 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems associated with significant risk behaviours receive high-quality care. You will also support your colleagues and promote positive teamwork.

The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, offering a good balance of routine and variety. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users
  2. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care
  3. Mentoring and supporting team members
  4. Observing, recording, and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided

Where You Will Be Working

Located in the small town of Guiseley on the outskirts of Leeds, the service is surrounded by beautiful countryside with easy access to local amenities.

Spring Wood Lodge supports women over 18 with complex emotional and mental health issues linked to significant risk behaviours. These women often have diagnoses such as personality disorder or severe mental illness and may not have had their needs met in general psychiatric services, including acute inpatient units, community mental health teams, or community personality disorder services. The focus is on active rehabilitation with the goal of achieving sustainable discharge.

Spring Wood Lodge offers:

  • 9-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation (Bronte Ward)
  • 12-bed High Dependency Inpatient Rehabilitation (Byron Ward)
