Job summary

Emerald Place Clinic in Horley is part of Elysium Healthcare and is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a 12-bed CAMHS unit. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to young people and contribute to a culture built on kindness and teamwork.

You must have completed your Preceptorship, hold NMC registration, and have a relevant nursing qualification. The role offers rolling 3 days/nights, then 4 days/nights shifts, with opportunities for

You will work 3 days or nights one week and 4 days or nights the next on a rolling rota. The shift patterns are 7.30am-8pm or 7.30pm-8am.

  • The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, and a good amount of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users
  • Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
  • Providing mentorship and support to team members
  • Observing, recording and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided

  • Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs.
  • These could include Mental Health conditions such as Mood Disorders and acute Psychosis. Additionally young people may have co-existing additional needs such as Neurodevelopmental Disorders, including mild Learning Disabilities or Autism. A young person could also be admitted if they have disordered eating.
