Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join the team at Rhodes Wood Hospital, a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 to 18 years. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to provide high-quality, compassionate care and make a real difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in society.

Main duties of the job

As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will be responsible for providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to the service users. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, as well as providing mentorship and support to your team members. You will also observe, record, and report all service user changes, maintaining accurate records of the care provided.

Job description

As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will ensure children and young people in this specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service receive high-quality care, while supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork.

The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, offering a good mix of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include:

  1. Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users.
  2. Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  3. Providing mentorship and support to team members.
  4. Observing, recording, and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided.

Rhodes Wood Hospital is a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 to 18 years. Each treatment programme is tailored to the needs of the young person.
