Job summary

Noadswood School is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a focus on mental health to join our Social, Emotional and Mental Health provision. You will support pupils with low arousal and anxiety, enabling access to learning and social opportunities.

The role involves delivering English and Maths interventions, small-group work, and liaising with teachers and families to monitor progress and wellbeing; a proactive, compassionate approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting pupils with mental health needs.
• Able to deliver English and Maths interventions.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.
• Flexible, patient approach with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and groups to stay on task.
• Liaise with teachers on pupil progress.
• Support regulation using Zones of Regulation.
• Deliver SEN interventions including 1:1 emotional support.
• Support Maths and English/literacy interventions.
• Track progress and participate in reviews.
• Communicate with parents daily.
