Mental Health Lead Support Worker

Location: Torquay, Devon

Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Pay: £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) with benefits including a Health Cash Plan

About the Role:

Join our team as a Mental Health Lead Support Worker, where you'll support customers with complex mental health needs to develop skills for independent living. Your work will make a significant difference in our customers' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop support plans with customers and coordinate a team of Support Workers.
  2. Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancies, and facilitating moves to independent accommodation.
  3. Conduct risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
  4. Engage in informal chats and support sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Passion for supporting individuals to live their best lives.
  • Experience in creating person-centered support plans and supporting colleagues.
  • Experience in coordinating customer referrals.
  • Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and be resilient.
Additional Information:

We cannot offer sponsorship for this role due to certificate limits. Flexible work patterns are available, with occasional adjustments to meet customer needs. A DBS check is required, which we will fund.
