We have some brand-new roles for the Coventry and Warwickshire Mental Health in Schools Teams (MHST).

MHSTs are an early intervention and prevention service that support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, young people and families who are linked to schools and colleges settings. MHSTs offer three kinds of support:

  • Individual, 1:1 and small-group targeted interventions for young people with mild-to-moderate mental health needs.
  • Fostering and developing a whole-school approach to mental well-being in collaboration with key school staff.
  • Advice, consultation and signposting to schools and other professionals.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust have a vision for our MHSTs which includes exciting new opportunities for registered Nurses with experience of working with young people and mental health difficultiesIf you have a passion to build positive relationships and have a curiosity to respond to the mental health needs of our children and young people in educational settings, these roles may be for you.

Main duties of the job

The role involves collaboration with education professionals, families, and relevant services to promote early intervention and improve mental health outcomes.

The post holder will provide both individual and group-based therapeutic interventions, including risk assessment and the use of structured, low-intensity psychological approaches. They will contribute to care planning and ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
