Job Overview
Following a successful pilot project, Welsh Government has funded a School Mental Health In Reach Initiative across Wales. The initiative aims to improve the wellbeing of pupils in High Schools and Primary Schools by developing school staff’s skills and confidence to support pupils with lower-level mental health and wellbeing needs within their role as teachers; and enabling access to specialist provision where needed.
Our team plays a key role in delivering these outcomes by working with schools, providing consultation, supervision, and training to teachers and other professionals; and collaborating with staff from various agencies to support a whole-school approach to mental wellbeing. Your role will include providing direct clinical services such as assessment and therapeutic interventions, as well as other supportive tasks relevant to the service's core remit.
Main duties of the job
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
