Job description

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 1.30pm to 9.30pm including weekends and bank holidays. Must be flexible

Salary: £25,250 per year

Contract: 1 year fixed term contract with a view to extension

Base: Colchester General Hospital

We are recruiting for the role of Hospital Link Worker to join our Mental Health Link Worker Service designed to support people presenting with emotional distress at the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and the Emergency Department (ED) at Colchester Hospital.

As a Link Worker, you will:

  • Offer person centred, empathic support to people experience emotional and mental health distress who are accessing UTC and ED after triage.
  • Liaise closely with the hospital triage team and other clinical teams within Colchester General Hospital.
  • To develop and maintain excellent relationship with the hospital teams, Link Volunteers, NEE Sanctuary and other partnerships.
