Job summary

Buckinghamshire Mind is seeking a Friends in Need Coordinator to support adults with mental health needs in Bracknell and the surrounding community. This role runs 26 hours per week and is permanent, offering a pro rata salary that reflects part-time hours.

You will engage participants, promote wellbeing activities, coordinate groups, and work with local partners to develop the service, while ensuring safe, supportive, and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing a support service to adults with mental health difficulties / emotional distress.
• Ability to build positive relationships with service users and partners.
• Ability to manage workload and priorities in a community setting.

Responsibilities

• Engage people affected by mental health difficulties across the area and encourage joining the network.
• Maintain a timetable of group activities and promote opportunities.
• Support recovery by promoting wellbeing practices and Five Ways to Wellbeing.
• Encourage development of social groups and exercise events, and run them safely.
• Coordinate partnerships with key agencies and stakeholders to develop the service.
