Job summary

PENNINE CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support ward-based care, under supervision of a registered nurse. You will help with personal care, observation and daily routines, while upholding patient dignity and safety.

You will engage with patients, assist with care plans, monitor nutrition and hydration, and work as part of a supportive team to ensure consistent, compassionate care across shifts.

• Ability to work as part of a team with the support of a registered nurse.
• Provide personal care to patients in a respectful manner.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality and dignity of patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified staff in delivering care as part of a ward team.
• Promote safety and wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors.
• Document nursing care in notes and vital observations as required.
• Contribute to care planning and monitoring of patient nutrition, hydration and comfort.
• Engage with patients to carry out activities and follow care plans.
