Would you like to build your experience working with Complex Needs alongside trained therapists, counsellors, and psychologists?

An outstanding specialist school for children with Mental Health needs in Ascot is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to support children with behavioural and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will be a graduate in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or a related field, though other subjects and relevant experience will also be considered. A degree is not mandatory.

The role is full-time, starting ASAP or in September 2025, supporting children aged 4 to 11, providing consistent, ongoing support to ensure high-quality, child-centered care. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for Psychology graduates to work alongside on-site therapists and psychologists, gaining invaluable experience in Special Needs and Mental Health support. It is ideal for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapeutic support workers, or SEN teachers.

The school seeks a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion, and experience to the classroom. The candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and able to use their initiative. Resilience and confidence in managing challenging behaviour are desirable qualities.
