Mental Health Assistant - Yate, South Gloucestershire - ASAP Start


Do you have experience supporting children with mental health challenges? Are you a psychology graduate eager to take your first step into the mental health field?


A welcoming school in Yate is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their team ASAP. This role is ideal for a Psychology Graduate or someone with experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, and SEN. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the development and wellbeing of students, working closely with a skilled and supportive team.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting children's behaviour for learning in the classroom.
  2. Assisting children in understanding and following teacher instructions.
  3. Working 1:1 with individual learners in the classroom or in small groups within the Learning Support department.
  4. Monitoring and recording pupil progress.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with diverse needs, requiring a patient and resilient individual. You will work closely with pupils who benefit from additional guidance, including those with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, as well as complex learning profiles.

Location: Yate, South Gloucestershire
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90-£100 per day (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
