Are you experienced in helping children who struggle with mental health or a psychology graduate seeking your first role in mental health?

A lovely school in Slough is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their team from September. The ideal candidate is either a Psychology Graduate or has experience with ASD, ADHD, and SEN. In this role, you will be an integral part of a supportive team, with ongoing support throughout your employment.

The school seeks a Mental Health Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with SEMH who is resilient and patient, as well as a Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD, both with complex needs.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting children's behavior for learning in the classroom.
  2. Helping children understand the teacher's instructions.
  3. Working with individual learners 1:1 or in small groups within the Learning Support department.
  4. Tracking and recording pupil progress.
