Job description

Job Title: Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner / CAP, Leek

This job involves working autonomously under supervision from a Registered Practitioner Psychologist, conducting psychological assessments, contributing to clinical formulations, delivering evidence-based interventions, and engaging in research activities.

You will work directly with service users experiencing complex issues such as emotional instability, trauma, suicidality, attachment difficulties, and self-harm. Responsibilities include communicating sensitive information, determining appropriate psychological interventions (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, CFT, ACT), using assessments to monitor progress, planning clinical assessments, and providing reports.

Requirements include a Level 7 Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP) qualification or an equivalent in Mental Health and Wellbeing Practice, current membership of the British Psychological Society or similar, a Bachelor's degree in psychology, and relevant experience in adult mental health services working under supervision.

The role is based at Ballington House, a mental health rehabilitation hospital for women with complex needs, offering a supportive environment with multidisciplinary team collaboration.
