Job summary

Job description

Caithness and Sutherland CMHT is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Lead/Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our mental health services, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting our team to deliver high-quality care to our community, covering both general adult and older adult services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the CMHT team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Provide advanced clinical care and support to patients with mental health needs, including general adult and older adult populations.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration or other Registered Healthcare professional.
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification desirable but not essential
  • Extensive experience in mental health nursing, with a focus on general adult and older adult care.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

The applicant would be required to travel efficiently and effectively to undertake the role. A driving licence is essential and a pool car may be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.

This is a permanent post of 37 hours per week, worked in accordance with service requirements.
