Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton-in-Ashfield is recruiting a Mental Health Law Practitioner to support the MHA Administrator and ensure the legal requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 across Grange and Lodge. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £29,110 per annum.

You will ensure compliance with the MHA, maintain detention records, manage section papers, and help patients and their relatives understand rights.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration and report preparation.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Educated to GCSE level with English and Maths qualifications.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure procedures under the Mental Health Act and related legislation are followed.
• Maintain detention records and ensure safe storage of documents.
• Receive and manage section papers during working hours.
• Assist with rights information for patients and relatives and support hearings.
