Job description

Join Our Mental Health Act Team in Maidstone

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding and dynamic Mental Health Act Team in Maidstone.

This role requires someone with Mental Health Act knowledge and experience, alongside the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate must be adaptable to workload changes and able to work independently as well as within a team. Prioritisation and general administration skills are essential.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Travel between KMPT sites may be required at short notice.

The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business purposes (unless disabled as per the Equality Act 2010).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scrutinising section paperwork in accordance with the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.
  2. Liaising with service users, doctors, and other professionals to arrange patient tribunals.
  3. Conducting audits across acute wards to ensure compliance with Mental Health Act standards.
  4. Providing training to nurses, doctors, and allied professionals.
  5. Ensuring excellent communication to facilitate effective patient liaison.
