Overview

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Do you have the leadership skills to guide a dedicated team delivering critical mental health assessments and support? If so, we want you to join our Mental Health Assess Line as a Team Leader.

In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee a dynamic team ensuring they operate efficiently within the Standard Operating Procedures, consistently meet their objectives, and provide a responsive, effective service to those who need it most. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the delivery of a service that collaborates closely with a range of partners, from the Police to the North West Ambulance Service(NWAS), and local authorities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and empower your team to work confidently and effectively within established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure team goals are met, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Supervise and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of support and development.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day team management, ensuring swift and high-quality service delivery.
  • Organise and deliver both management and clinical supervision to staff, supporting their professional growth.
  • Play a hands-on role in supporting all aspects of the service, helping shape and enhance our mental health response.
About the Trust

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
