Role Overview:

Jaded London is seeking a dynamic and proactive Menswear Buyer to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer to contribute to a growing brand, bringing your ideas and expertise. Your main responsibilities will include owning and executing a clear product strategy for Menswear, collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure an optimal product range based on trends, assortment, price, quality, and margin targets.

Excellent communication skills are essential to build strong relationships with our supply chain, wholesale partners, collaborations, and internal teams. A deep understanding of the brand, our customer, and our market position is crucial. We are looking for someone highly organized, proactive, with a keen eye for product and trends.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  1. Develop and adapt Menswear product ranges to offer fashion-forward, balanced assortments and exciting newness, working closely with design teams from research to execution with suppliers.
  2. Lead and manage seasonal, monthly, and weekly strategies, adjusting based on sales performance and trends. Report on progress against targets and suggest adjustments to buying plans.
  3. Cater to all markets and customer profiles, considering seasonal trends, macro and local key dates to inform buying strategies.
  4. Ensure profitable ranges and margin targets by negotiating with suppliers, monitoring design details, and controlling assortments.
  5. Maintain foresight for upcoming seasons, setting critical deadlines for teams to meet key timelines for collaborations, launches, and market holidays.
  6. Collaborate with merchandising on buy planning and depth positioning, managing OTB for newness and performance-based adjustments.
  7. Pay close attention to fit, working with technical, production, and design teams to ensure high-quality garments and prompt negotiations on costs, delivery, and quantities.
  8. Present product ranges in rack-up meetings, aligning with marketing to communicate collection vision and key styles.
  9. Manage shoot samples, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery, coordinating with marketing for shoot deadlines.
  10. Build strong supplier relationships, understanding their capabilities and capacity to protect future volumes, and using product knowledge to negotiate margins.
  11. Monitor product quality, sizing, and returns, using customer feedback to inform decisions.
  12. Analyze trading performance, maximizing bestsellers through strategic moves and marketing activities.
  13. Mitigate risks of poor performers through adjustments in quantities, pricing, or promotional efforts.
  14. Stay informed on competitors and trends, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  15. Share trend reports and inspiration regularly, suggesting new design directions.
  16. Work with wholesale to understand product performance and optimize ranges for key accounts.
  17. Organize supplier visits, trade shows, and exhibitions, focusing on sustainability and ethical sourcing.
  18. Coach and manage junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in fashion buying, 3+ years.
  • Strong commercial awareness and trading mindset.
  • Passion for Jaded London and the fashion industry.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience.
  • Proactive, adaptable, with ideas to improve processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
