Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in a similar role within a fast-paced fashion environment.
  • Self-motivated with good time management and adaptability.
  • Experience in taking and logging notes during design and fit sessions.

Responsibilities

Job description

ARNE is an apparel and footwear brand/retailer based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, UK. We design and develop our products in the UK, manufacture in the near & far east and then ship directly to our customers, via ARNEclo.com. We have recently branched out and are now also available via Selfridges both in store and online.

We have ambitious objectives over the next decade with the team believing all targets are achievable through new product category launches in shoes and womenswear alongside the creation of paid media, CRM activity and further international growth to amplify the great product / brand assets we have already created.

Reporting to our Senior Designer, you will have creative flair and a keen eye for detail as well as being super organised. If you want to join us on our exciting journey please apply today!

  • Daily admin to support the smooth running of the design team.
  • Responsible for sample handling and keeping sample logs up to date.
  • Working on the critical path to ensure all samples arrive within the correct time frame.
  • Photographing design samples when they come in, as well as bought samples (daily).
  • Managing daily post coming in and out of the business.
  • Chasing samples daily with suppliers and ensuring samples are in on time and keeping the team updated with queries/issues.
  • Working directly with overseas suppliers building strong relationships and assisting on branded development through email and we chat.
  • Assisting in photoshoot preparation.
  • Assist on helping with CADs and tech packs for factories.
  • Assist with preparing monthly release CAD range plans and boards for display.
  • Assist with approval of lab dips, trims, materials, prints for finalised products.
  • Working closely with our garment technician assisting with any CADs needed on the back of changes from fit sessions.
  • Work within the Design team to help create a design strategy for each season, trend overviews, and design collections. You'll take ideas from the initial design concept through to finished product.
  • Research & contribute to the creation of seasonal collections collaboratively with the design team - including researching customer profiles/new trends/our competitors, with a focus on commerciality and have the opportunity to discuss new ideas.
  • Using WGSN daily to check for new reports, trending messages catwalks.
  • Completing blogger reports, street style reports.
  • Completing sourcing packs for fabric, print, graphics.
  • Self-motivated and have good time management with the ability to adapt
  • Attending weekly design and fit sessions to take and log notes.
  • Identify new product opportunities to support the growth and expansion of the business.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant Fashion Design qualification to degree level or similar.
  • Proficient use of Adobe suite (Illustrator and photoshop) & Excel.
  • Preferable 1 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced fashion environment
