Job summary

ASOS is seeking an Assistant Buyer for TOPMAN to build relevant, trend-led menswear ranges and drive commercial success for the TOPMAN customer. You’ll work with Buyers, Merchandisers, Designers and suppliers to take product from concept to launch, balancing fashion with customer insight and performance.

You’ll contribute to cost negotiations, supplier partnerships, and product lifecycle management, while championing sustainability and the TOPMAN brand within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fashion retail buying.
• Strong understanding of menswear and TOPMAN customer.
• Ability to interpret sales and trading information.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive approach with confidence to contribute ideas and influence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Buyer in developing and delivering commercially successful ranges for the TOPMAN customer.
• Bring an understanding of menswear trends and TOPMAN customer to range development decisions.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to deliver great product, quality and value.
• Negotiate cost prices and delivery dates while maintaining supplier relationships.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to maximise trade.
• Analyse customer, market and competitor trends to inform product decisions.
• Work with Design, Merchandising and Technical teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage the critical path to ensure milestones and on-time launches.
• Support range reviews, sign-offs and strategy meetings with clear analysis and recommendations.
• Contribute to department and brand strategy by identifying risks and opportunities.
