Position:Men's Soccer Assistant Coach

Department:Athletics

Target Hire Date:July 2025

Manchester University is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Men's Soccer Assistant Coach to support the leadership of a competitive NCAA Division III men’s soccer program. This individual will play a vital role in student-athlete development and team success by assisting in coaching, recruiting, retention, scheduling, budget management, and game day operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with planning and conducting practices and competitions.

  • Support student-athlete' academic and athletic development.

  • Coordinate recruitment efforts in collaboration with coaching staff and admissions.

  • Monitor eligibility and academic progress in cooperation with campus support services.

  • Help track and enhance student-athlete retention rates.

  • Assist with managing team operations including budget planning, equipment management, travel logistics, and compliance with NCAA and university policies.

  • Promote the program through collaboration with athletic communications and sports information.

  • Contribute to fundraising, alumni engagement, and community outreach efforts.

  • Drive university vehicles for team travel.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred.

  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.

  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with student-athletes, staff, and the campus community.
